Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche returns to
White Jewel Mountain!

A week of teachings, Stupa consecration and Drupchö. Save the dates!

October 15th - 21st, 2026.

In person & via Zoom

Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche comes to Crestone, Colorado for a week of Dzogchen teachings, the formal consecration of White Jewel Mountain's Enlightenment Stupa, and a Drupchö, an intensive group practice ceremony that generates merit and blessing for all beings in all directions.

Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche was identified at age eight by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, one of the greatest Tibetan masters of the 20th century, as the reincarnation of Adzom Gyalse Gyurme Dorje, son and dharma heir of the legendary master Adzom Drukpa. Enthroned at Shechen Monastery in Kathmandu, he serves as ritual master, shedra teacher, and lineage holder of the Great Perfection.

He carries an unbroken thread that runs through Longchenpa, Jigme Lingpa, Patrul Rinpoche, and Adzom Drukpa himself, one of the most luminous streams of Dzogchen transmission in existence. His primary transmissions include the Longchen Nyingthig, the Chetsün Nyingthig, and Longchenpa's Seven Treasuries.

He began teaching worldwide in 2014. He serves as Spiritual Director of White Jewel Mountain.
Each day Rinpoche will offer teachings in the living tradition of the Great Perfection, the pinnacle of Tibetan Buddhist practice. These are not lectures about the path. They are transmission: the direct pointing, from an awakened heart to an open one, that the Dzogchen tradition has carried for centuries. All levels of practice are welcome. Curiosity and openness are the only prerequisites.

In summer 2025, Rinpoche made a special journey to Crestone to bless the ground for our Enlightenment Stupa. It is now complete. The formal consecration during this retreat marks the stupa's full activation as a living field of blessing, for our community, our land, and all beings who come near it. In the Tibetan tradition, a consecrated stupa is not simply architecture. It is a physical presence that radiates benefit continuously, in all directions, for as long as it stands.
A Drupchö is an intensive group practice ceremony, a sustained, collective invocation that concentrates the power of many practitioners sitting together in the same aspiration. The merit generated in a Drupchö does not stay within the room. It extends outward to all beings, across all time. To participate, even online, is to take part in something the tradition regards as one of the most powerful offerings a practitioner can make.

When Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche comes, he brings the full weight of a lineage that has remained unbroken through centuries of difficulty, across the width of the world. To sit in his presence, to receive teachings, to be part of the stupa's consecration and the Drupchö's gathering power - these are not ordinary events.

The 16th Karmapa prophesied Crestone as a place where many would attain realization. The land holds something here. White Jewel Mountain has tended that ground for nearly two decades. This October, Rinpoche consecrates it more fully than ever before.

Come if you have been practicing for years and feel the pull to go deeper. Come if you have never sat in formal practice and simply feel drawn. Come if something in you recognizes that what you are looking for may already be present - and wants to be sure.

May the benefit of this gathering extend to all beings, in all directions, in all times.
